Tips from a groomer!

Getting your pups groomed is so important for their health! Matting is extremely painful for them, and when we have to shave out those mats it #1 is painful for the pups and #2 teaches them that being groomed can’t be fun because it hurts🫤 for your short haired pups getting them professionall

any tips for using clippers and bathing an older dog? She is allergic to fleas (she doesn't have any on her, but does have flea dust I think). It takes an army to hold her down to TRY to clip her. I can cut with scissors, but she has these bald spots from gnawing at the itchy spots. I would love to get her trimmed down really short to help with this, bathing and so she doesn't get so hot when outside. She sheds tremendously even though I try combing/brushing her at least every other day if not daily. She REALLY gets feisty when the clippers get to her neck area. She will start trying to bite at them. I just want her to be more comfortable.

So is it not good to brush out a short hair dogs coat?
